One trend that I have noticed over the past couple of years that has been increasingly popular has been the tuxedo dress. The menswear style has come along way since Yves Saint Laurent created the first women’s tuxedo in the 1960’s. Today, the style has evolved to the super sexy yet chic tuxedo dress.
If you brought in the New Year watching Dick Clark’s annual “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” then you saw pop singer Fergie rocking her tuxedo dress by Aryn with a Balmain stripped blouse and gold skinny pants by Wes Gordon. She added pumps by Giuseppe Zanotti and completed her look with a very long side braid that had me thinking of Madonna’s one time hit Vogue!
Others who have sported the look include (clockwise):
Miley Cyrus in Jean Paul Gaultier/Elizabeth Banks in Aletier Versace/Kim Kardashian and Fergie in Balmain/Daisy Lowe in Jean Paul Gaultier/Julianne Hough and Jennifer Lopez in Rachel Zoe
