Here are my top picks of the best and worst looks!
Brittany Spears wore a short and sexy nude applique dress by Mikael D and shoes from Giuseppe Zanotti. The look definitely fits the new Vegas headliner!
Allison Williams wore a slightly edgy blue midi length dress that included white cutouts at the shoulder and waist by David Koma. I love the perforated belt that gave her that hour glass look. Williams completed her look with neutral sling backs by Christian Louboutin.
Lastly (and i think my favorite), was worn by co-host, Kat Dennings. She wore a strapless blue peplum dress that minimized and her shape from top to bottom! This was by far a much better look than how she looked arriving to the show (you’ll see). We are still waiting on the designer on this one!
An honorable mention goes out to the talented and always gorgeous Jennifer Hudson. She wore a long sleeved all white fitted gown that gathered on the side by Kaufman Franco. Even though she was smoking in this piece, the reason she didn’t make my top three was because she went for a barely there shoe that made her look…well incomplete!
So how can one make a best dress and worst dress list the same night??? Here’s how. Kat Dennings arrived to the show wearing a strapless long flower printed gown with pockets that was way too much for her busty and petite frame. The look by David Meister, ended up making Dennings appear short and frumpy and reminded of the ’70’s!
Next up is Ms. Heidi Klum in Giorgio Armani. Not sure what she thought with this origami looking piece, but it just missed the mark. The long printed sleeveless gown had extra unflattering fabric at the shoulder and across the middle.
The last and the worst look was by Malin Ackerman in Cushnie et Ochs. All I can say is no, no, no. Besides the obvious “peek a boo” cut out, the dress gave no dimension to her straight and narrow frame. The back was just as unappealing and showed her lack of curves.
Next stop, the Golden Globe Awards! I’m sure there will be even better styles to watch, this Sunday. I got my front row seat, do you? 😉
