Lace shorts have been trending each spring/summer for the last couple of years now and continue to be seen. I have noticed them on many well known fashion bloggers, socialites and on the very young and impressionable. The style is generally super short, girly, chic and ultra sexy. It’s ultimately your sleepwear meets day wear look.
Although this trend cute, it is not for everyone. I think you have to be slim with “killer legs” to make this look work and those are two things I am not! I am just too curvaceous for such a style. Even if I did rock the look, I would constantly be pulling them down or worried about every nook and cranny trying to show. However, if you got it, flaunt it…modestly that is! 😉
No paragraphs, just pictures today. Enjoy! 😉

Oh my, how did I forget to post this one from Easter? I guess because that weekend was so great and long! There’s nothing more wonderful then spending time with your family, listening to a great word at church about the true meaning of Easter and having several Easter egg hunts ;-). Honestly, my kids had so much candy, it was as if the went trick or treating! I still have a bag that I think I am going to throw out…especially since I already picked out the good stuff!

What is comfortable, unattractive and comes in more than one color? Well Birkenstock sandals of course! These sandals looked more like men sandals than anything else when they were first made back in 1897. There were no glitter, hot pink color or fun straps to choose from. Today, even with the added additions, I must admit they are still not my favorite. However, someone, somewhere decided to dare and try them, not for looks, but for comfort. The creative implementing of cork provides a flexible arch support and have been known to help those with feet issues. Many celebrities sport them today for comfort and great ease, sending these sandals into “must have” status. So whether for fashion or health reasons, if you have been secretly contemplating on getting them, go ahead because everyone seems to be doing them!
Here are a couple of other styles to check out for the entire family!

I hope everyone has enjoyed this day spending it with family, friends, good food and most importantly remembering the reason we are all here. Christ gave himself freely on the cross to death for our sins. After 3 days he arose and gave a great commission to all of his disciples which can be found in my favorite scripture, Mathew 28:18-20:
18 “…All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Have you told anyone about the love of Christ lately? Happy Resurrection Day!
Ambrosio definitely dressed the part at this past weekends Cochella Valley Music and Arts event in Indio, CA. Her outfit was from her very own clothing line, which came out in March called àle by Alessandra. Her see through tie back shirt and short shorts look wouldn’t be complete without a messy hair braid , floppy hat and several woven and beaded bracelets. She added a pair of cool colored and comfortable sneakers to match. Dressed up or down, this model knows how to work an event!
Clockwise: Taylor Swift, Halle Berry, Lupita N’yango and Ashley Tinsdale
1) Taylor Swifts looks carefree, flirty and fresh in her new Mid Length Bob. It frames her face just right and that fact that she has added some curl makes this look even more beautiful. Other stars who rocked this look include: Jennifer Aniston, Julianne Hough, Reese Witherspoon, Kelly Cuoco and Katy Perry
2) Nobody wears a Pixie Cut better than the gorgeous Halle Berry! She has worn the look for years and it has become her signature look. It screams sexy and edgy with a hint of bold! Other stars who rocked this look include: Charlize Theron, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Hudson, Pamela Anderson and Jennifer Lawrence
3) Whether its a simple Braided crown along you hair line or a semi messy fishtail style like Ashley Tisdale, this look is simple, yet chic and can be worn to any event. Other stars who rocked this look include, Gabrielle Union, Eva Langoria, Maria Menounos, Selena Gomez and Alicia Keyes
4) There is nothing more sexy than being Natural hair kind of girl, particular amongst African American hair. Whether is a low cut like Lupita N’yongo or wild and free like Solange Knowles, natural hair itself is versatile and the styles you can do with it are endless! Other stars who rocked this look include: Brandy, Janelle Monae, Angela Simmons, Viola Davis and Oprah Winfrey
I’m personally glad that I may the decision to be a natural beauty some time ago. I simply love the fact that I can wear my hair kinky and curly once minute, then sleek and straight the next! So which hair trends will you be rocking?
