The weekend before last, I went up Northern VA to visit family and decided to throw on this number. Since getting my army fatigue jacket nearly a year ago, I can say I have hardly worn it. However, even with that being said, I have played around with my jacket to create several looks. Take this one which was perfect for the weekend weather and a casual get together with family! Stay tuned for other up in coming ways to style!

Its almost Spring and I cannot wait!!! I amongst many, look forward to warmer weather and on a consistent bases! I couldn’t believe when we recently had all 4 seasons in one week! Even though the weather has been kind of tricky, this is a great time to rock those transitional pieces.
Such would be my favorite colored skirt that can be done up with tights an added sweater and boots . Then for Spring, I could make it fun with open toe shoes, a fun printed top or even do a little color blocking! What about you…have you started transitioning?

I enjoy going though my closet and throwing outfits together and even moreso when its a look that is not so matchy matchy. For some this might not be out there, but for others like myself, this is just enough! For the wedding I attended, it was super cold and windy therefore, short and sleeveless was out of the question! My goal was not only to be warm, but to look chíc and inspiring too!
I think my mission was accomplished, what about you?

I love this look! My outfit was on point and my hair was too! Lol. So I have worn this grey top and pant together before, however this time I wanted to add a printed scarf for contrast and my leather jacket for an added “smooth” look! However, I think my best accessory can be seen in the last photo!

When it comes to fashion I love pieces that are different. When I saw this poncho style sweater I immediately fell in love with it! I soon found out that it was called a “snood” because the part that folds over the shoulders can be worn over the head (I rocked this last year in a previous blog post).
Even as that may be, I don’t ever wear it out over my head. Lol. I think its more of the idea of it being versatile and having that option to wear as a hood. It is super chíc and stylish. Most importantly, its so me!

P.S. Shout out to my baby bro who was my photographer for the day! 😉
Ok so you may not know this, but my go to piece for the last couple of months have been this fabulous black leather jacket! I have worn it as part of my outfit throughout the day as opposed to just my “outerwear.” Its definitely a great staple to own that adds a little sass to your look. Also, adding a little color blocking and leather boots aren’t bad either! 😉

Cropped sweaters are still popular for the season. You may be wondering why that is considering its cold outside. Well, for some it’s all about showing some skin despite the weather. For others, they can layer the look for a cute and funky style such as the one I am wearing from H&M.
I usually wear my cropped sweater with a white collar shirt underneath. Depending on my mood, I may decide to go with a black and white theme or pair it with a colored bottom to give my outfit some life! I will say the camera doesn’t do this sweater justice when it comes to the detailing because it’s all black (you do get a picture up close below). What is your take on the cropped sweater style?
