I like a fitted dress from time to time, however depending on wear I am going I may have to adjust my styling to make my look more appropriate. This bodycon dress (despite the pictures) is coral in color with an open back and gold chains layered down the middle. Although I showed it on the blog a few months ago, I had actually never worn it out.
This style of dress can usually be found worn for a dinner date or out to a club with a pair of high heels and fun accessories. Although the dress looks great on its own, I decided I wanted to go for a more sophisticated and work/church appropriate look. I simply added two things, a blazer that had a little bling on it as well as patent leather open toe pumps. Just like that, I no longer have just a bodycon dress, but I have a “bodycan” dress because I can where it almost anywhere!

Fall doesn’t officially start until September 22nd and you better believe I am going to get in as many “Summer” like outfits that I can (as long as the weather complys)! Such would be this printed blouse from BCBG and how I love all its subtle details! The fun and colorful animal print, the gathered wrap style in the middle, its soft fabrication and and those split sleeves just excites me!
I also love that I can dress my blouse down with a pair of jeans and my favorite pair of ballet flats. Or for a dressier look, I have worn a pair of black slacks and pumps for work. And yes, I did say black! Contrary to what some may think, black and blue (or navy), can be worn together. It’s all about accessorizing and the right balance of colors! So how are you wearing out the final days of the season?

The other night I got the pleasure to hear my husband speak at an event downtown called “Motivate.” The event was great because it brought people in the community together on all levels. There was singing, dancing, poetry, vendors of all kinds and my favorite motivational speaker, my hubby. Of course once the show was over and the mingling was done, it was time to take some pictures! Since it was downtown I couldn’t resist, plus I have been wanting some new scenery so why not add a little graffiti in the background for some edge right? 🙂 Thanks for the pictures Kettia they came out great!
SN: I love this outfit! Anytime your wearing the color red, coral and orange especially on darker skin tones it makes a bold and beautiful statement! I also love this top because of the ruching and the ability to hide the “extra” in the middle! LOL

The other night out was all about fun and games when I rocked this outfit! Though it wasn’t officially Fall, I couldn’t help it and the weather was perfect for the look. I also think I fell in love with these pants all over again!
It wasn’t too long that I shared I never could see myself in animal print. However, I have found when you open your mind to new things, its like opening a door to endless possibilities. Whatever you decide to wear in the new season, make sure to be bold, confident and with style!

I just love all the possibilities that you can have with a pair of white pants! They virtually go with everything and can be worn anywhere. You can cuff them, add a tee and flats for a casual look or dress them up with a blazer, tank and pumps! On this day I choose to wear mine with a BCBGirls pale blue top that featured a little detail in the middle and neutral flats. I hate to see the summer come to an end because I still have a couple more “white hot” looks to put together, but we’ll see if I can squeeze one more in! 😉

So I have these tye dye jeans that I don’t wear often. I think they are little wild, a little sexy and a little fun all rolled in one! I’ve worn them in the past with a white top and sandals for a casual look, however this time I wanted to go just a tad dressier. It’s amazing what a black tank, a pair of pumps and some wine colored lipstick can do! Shout out to my little guy who was my photographer for the night! 😘

Ever woke up and felt like wearing grey? Ok, me neither! Black maybe, but not grey and certainly not the two together. This day I wanted to wear something with color, but the clock was saying I was running late and needed to make a decision!
Typically the day before church I like to pick out my clothes along with the kids, however, that did not happen. I had settled on wearing these black straight leg pull on pants, but couldn’t find the right colorful top to coordinate. Of course, when in doubt, you go for what is obvious and always works…grey of course! Maybe next time I will add a thin black belt for an even more polished look. 🙄
