When it came down to me finding a cute and flirty dress for my event, I knew I would be able to find one at Forever21. Everytime I go into the store I see nothing but a sea of colors. I went to a few of my other favorites stores prior that included H&M and New York & Co. and of course I bought nothing needed for my event! Lol. I will say that the items I did buy were definitely needed basics for the Fall season and were on sale!
I also did not find my dress until literally the day before, which I know is last minute but I like to think I work well under pressure! 😉 I’m not a huge fan of asymmetrical dresses, yet when I saw this one and it was also an easy wearing wrap style, I needed to have it! Talk about stepping out and trying something new (I also think the older I get, the more I am prone to revisiting styles I didn’t think I could wear).
What do you think?

I may have never served in the military, but I do think I look cute in this military inspired jacket! I love how I can wear it to create several different looks including this one with this fabulous hat! I had been looking for a hat for a while that looked just right and was inexpensive. I found this one unintentionally while shopping for a tank top at Forever21.
I bet you can’t guess how much I paid…5 bucks! Yea I was surprised too, especially since they are usually $15 and up. They say good things come to those who wait and I couldn’t agree more!

When I first saw these pants I wasn’t sure whether to get them or not for two reasons. The first reason was they were not a style that I was use to wearing. I admit, when I first saw these pants I didn’t know if they were pajamas or joggers. It wasn’t until I tried them on and found that I loved the fit and the pocket detail, that they were a must have!
The only other problem I had was that they were blue printed. Unless it’s denim, my first choice is not to buy blue because I am always thinking “what do I have that would go with it?” I tried to find other colors that were available and in my size, but the only other option was predominately white with a black print and that was not going to work.
Needless to say, I went ahead and chose the blue print. As you can see, I had no problem finding a top to match! I’m starting to like seeing myself in this shade of blue. What do you think? 😜

The many faces you make when Fall weather is really “Spring” like weather! Two of my favorite seasons happen to be Fall and Spring, however I am definitely not a fan of both of them being in one season! It just sounds like sickness is bound to happen. Smh.
Either way, I love Fall for the opportunity of transitional wear. Such looks would include a cute summer dress that can be worn with tights and a cardigan, knee high boots with a denim jacket and more! As you can see I opted for a denim crop jacket and snake print sandals. Add some fun accessories and a little make up and you I’m good to go!

Yea, so I was looking online like I regularly do when my eye caught this beauty…a chambray jumpsuit! Over the last couple of years I have found myself doing a lot of shopping online. This is greatly because of two reasons:
1) I can find great deals online
2) It’s way easier to shop when you don’t have four extra bodies with you asking “can we leave yet?”
I will admit that shopping online can have its disadvantages. For example “Final Sale” items may not be returnable, which will cause you to loose money if the fit isn’t right. Also, if the item can be exchanged for another size, the only method to do so would be by mail. Again this is extra money spent to both send back in addition to time because you have to drop them off at the post office!
All in all, I only recommend shopping online when you already know how a brand name runs. You should try finding a like item in store by the same brand to ensure fit. It’s not always 100% proof, but you will be happy you did 9/10!
In this case I am pleased with my purchase. I got my jumpsuit in a medium for my hips, however I do think I could have used a small. I will see if I can shrink it in the body just a tad. If not, I’m ok with it being a relaxed fit especially drawing nearer to this much cooler season!
My toughest decision was to go with the belt or without? What do you think?

Where am I going? Oh no where special! Ever wake up and just feel like looking extra cute for no particular reason? This was me and no one could tell me differently! I not only knew I looked good, but I felt good too!
Best of all, the most expensive item seen is not my dress, but my pumps that I got for $30 during Macy’s close out sale at Regency. The “steal of a deal” is actually my dress that I snagged for only $4.99 at H&M online! I’m not typically one to buy the first thing I see however, this purchase couldn’t be helped and when you see something you like and it’s reasonable, why not?
One of the best parts of being a personal stylist is seeing the face of your clients when you show them everything they’ve purchased and they still have money left to spend! The key to shopping and not spending a fortune is to go in with a plan and not derive from it. I wanted to find a dress for under $15 and I ended up finding one even cheaper!
So whose your favorite personal stylist that can get you looking fabulous at a bargain of a deal… me of course! Inbox me for styling tips wherever you are. Talk you soon! Mwah
