I don’t know about you, but for me, there were several days in the past few weeks in which felt like Fall like temperatures. Even though Fall doesn’t officially kick off until September 22nd, it’s not too early to begin transitioning your pieces (especially if you are someone like me who is always cold 😉). So what’s the key to being able to transition??? Layer! Layer! Layer!
There are literally no rules when it comes to carrying a certain piece to the next season. You could wear that cute summer printed dress and pair some leggings, a cardigan sweater, scarf with knee high boots! The same can be done with trouser style shorts with a pair of tights, a slightly oversized sweater and booties!
As you transition your look into this next particular season, think warm! If you are not sure if you can make the transition google and find out what is being paired with what you have. Ex. Google “Cardigan and tank dresses.” This will give you several different looks to be worn. Take a look and see how I created 3 complete Fall looks using one summer dress!
Which is your favorite?
I decided to bless y’all with some more of my favorite earth tone colors! Keeping it sophisticated and chíc, I decided to pair my new off the shoulder top from H&M with my favorite boyfriend jean. I added my signature lip color and few coordinating pieces and voila! I’m ready to start my day off…fashionably! 😂

Sometimes we get caught up with all the challenges of life and it’s not until either something drastic happens or we have had enough, that we ask ourselves, “How did I get here?” When you examine your life, you are where you are based off of the choices you’ve made whether good or bad. However, when you have made the wrong decisions, it’s about how you respond that will determine what happens next.
I used to tell my team, “control your controllables.” Meaning, you decide where your next move will be. Don’t get down and dishearten about what happen or could have been, but focus on what can be. Redirect your way of thinking and find out what your true purpose is. Do what makes sense and most importantly, do what makes you happy. #purposefilled

I strongly believe that fashion is all about self expression. You know the phrase, “First impressions are everything,” well they may not be EVERYTHING, but they definitely will have you wondering! Now sometimes even the most well dressed have their days in which they just don’t feel like getting dressed and just want to be comfortable without all the “extra” stuff. However, dressing comfortable doesn’t mean that you have to look like you don’t care about your look.
Take my photo on the left for instances, if you never met me or knew anything about me, what would be your first impression? Now what about the second photo? Which looks well put together? Sophisticated? Business like? Fashionable? I hope that everyone agreees that look #2 is the best and hopefully it says “I’m about my business!”
At the end of the day, no matter how you look, someone is always going to have a comment to say. If you are dressed too nice the question then becomes, “where does she think she’s going?” If not dressed up enough the question then is, “what was she thinking?” In any event, my personal motto is that I would rather be overdressed knowing I look good then being under dressed and not presenting myself at my best.
Always remember to dress with a purpose. Dress the message you want to convey. A little accessories and makeup can go a long way. You can be running errands and still look good doing them. Workout clothes are so fashionable now they could literally be worn almost anywhere!
Looks aren’t everything, but if first impressions truly are your first impressions. Do you know what your look is conveying? Be confident, smile and know that what you wear is also telling a story…your story. 😉
